Joint Research Laboratory
Advanced Steel Materials Texture Control: Joint Research Laboratory (with JFE Steel)

Research Topics

  1. Research on ferrite single-phase steel texture control
  2. Research on high magnetostrictive iron-gallium alloy texture control

Research Details

This Laboratory is the first joint research laboratory set up at the Graduate School of Engineering in collaboration with JFE Steel, renowned for its advanced research in steel, to develop close connections with the company, promote academia-industry collaboration, and accelerate research and development on new, next-generation steel materials with an eye towards commercialization.
This Laboratory focuses on cold rolled and recrystallized texture of ferrite single-phase steels and high magnetostrictive iron-gallium alloys to establish metallurgy basics for developing further advanced steel materials.
