 Tohoku University - Postech (Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, Korea) International Academic and Cultural Exchange Project has started in 2001. The 1st event was held in Sendai on August 2001, and the 2nd was held in Pohang, Korea on September 2002. In this year, this program is held in Sendai, again. In this project, we have presentation sessions, parties, factory visit and so on. The participants are mainly students who study material sciences. But, in the seminar session, we talk about not only material sciences but also our culture or our student life. Through this project, we also learn how to communicate with students of other countries.

 This year, 30 Tohoku students and 23 Postech students joined this project. Students themselves chose the topics for the presentation session and they also prepared resumes (abstracts) beforehand. Each team had 20 minutes for a presentation.
