Recently, more advanced steel technologies have been demanded in the background of the resource shortage and the issue of global warming. The development of metallurgical technology for the future is accomplishing the striking progress in not only Japan but also the other countries. This time, the special lectures of Highly Innovative Novel Operations on the technologies of steelmaking process and recycling will be represented by the worldwide authorities. The seeds researches on the reformative steelmaking technology will be also informed for the world. As a result, it is convinced that those presentations will contribute to the further development of steelmaking industries and the construction of continued recycling society. By deepening the intimacy of the researchers gathered in this symposium, it is expected that the steelmaking investigations will be promoted in the future.
